Kathigiri Primary School Leads Kenya

Kathigiri Primary Boarding School in Igoji, Meru county, did not only produce the second best pupil in the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, it also led nationally with a mean score of 409.88.

The top pupil at the school, Kirianki Lennox, got 446 marks out of a possible 500. He came in second just three points behind the overall leader from Kakamega. 

The school entered 57 candidates in the November national examinations. Forty of the pupils attained 400 marks and above. The last pupil at the school got 371 points. 

The top girl at the school, Yvonne Gakii, attained 434 points and was also the second best girl Countrywide. 

The school's achievement has left parents, teachers and residents of Meru proud. Those who live within the locality of the school took to social media to let the world know how proud they are.
