The Kiraitu Murungi Foundation on Friday held a dinner/fundraising event at the Safari Park hotel in Nairobi. The event was organized by the foundation whose patron is the Senator of Meru and former South Imenti member of parliament, Kiraitu Murungi.
According to Kiraitu, the funds raised will be us to promote "academic excellence" in Meru county. No specific figure was given as to the total amount that was raised although the Patron said millions of shillings were realized.
