Senator Kiraitu has for the first time intimated that he might run for Meru governorship. In a post on Facebook Mr. Kiraitu hinted at his entry into the contest for what is clearly the highest office in the county. here is a copy of the post
Over the last couple of months I have been under intense pressure from the electorate to run for the Gubernatorial seat. My response has consistently been the same, that I am still listening to different opinions and I will make an informed decision soon.
I am a leader
who believes in consultation and not confrontation. It is in this
regard that I wish to inform my people that I will be visiting all the 9
constituencies of Meru county come next year to listen to them and their opinions over various issues affecting our County.
