Tusker FC will no longer utilize Kinoru Stadium as their home ground. It has been their surrogate home stadium since 2014 when they relocated from Ruaraka.
Towards the end of 2014 the county government of Meru commenced rebuilding of the Stadium. The renovation works were supposed to take less than an year. The governor promised to have Tusker playing again at the stadium before the end of 2015.
The county government has been pushing forward the deadline for the stadium to be ready. Late last year the governor again promised to have the stadium ready by January. The Stadium is nowhere near completion. The repair works have stalled and no explanation is forthcoming.
Now Tusker FC has decided to end their wait and shift their base to Machakos. Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos will be their new home ground going forward.
