What Was Discussed At A Secret Meeting Held At Kiraitu's Home?

A 'secret' meeting hosted by Meru Senator, Kiraitu Murungi, has kicked off a storm as some leaders accuse the senator of leaving them out with ill intentions. 

 The meeting which was in form of a dinner hosted by the Senator at his Kiigene home was attended by a section of Meru leaders and their invitation was selective.

According to a section of leaders the meeting was 'open' to all elected leaders in the county who included MPs and MCAs. However, some leaders like Tigania West MP David Kariithi said they were not invited despite being in Jubilee. They have since threatened to ditch the Party that Kiraitu Murungi helped to form and which will be used as President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election vehicle in 2017.

The meeting according to Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi, was called to discuss how to send Governor Peter Munya home in the next elections.

North Imenti MP Rahim Dawood also said the meeting was called to marshall up elected leaders to popularize the Jubilee Party in the region.
