The High Court in Meru has stopped construction of a 15 storey building christened Meru Rising Tower. The High court's temporally order follows an application by some residents.
The residents are against the construction of the high rise tower on what they claim is public land.
Plans to erect the building on what was formally know as Angaine Estate are at an advance stage. Buildings that stood on the land have already been demolished to pave way for the construction set to begin in a months time.
The application will now be heard on February 11 by High Court Justice Francis Gikonyo.
