Former Secretary to the cabinet, Ambassador Francis Muthaura, says his ICC experience was so traumatic that he would not wish such an experience on another Kenyan. While addressing a huge gathering at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium during a thanks-giving ceremony for six Kenyans who had been charged at the ICC but whose cases collapsed for lack of evidence, Mr Muthaura also praised the lawyers for the accused for arguing and proving their innocence.

The former Chief of Staff in President Mwai Kibaki's government had been accused alongside five other individuals, including the current President and his deputy, for planning violence after the controversial 2007 general elections. Their cases were all terminated gradually and that was the basis of their thanks-giving ceremony at Afraha on Saturday.

Mr. Muthaura also thanked and expressed support for the President and is Deputy's agenda of uniting the country.
