Over 1,000 women will attend a forum on Cancer to be hosted by the Meru first Lady in Maua town on Saturday.
The first lady, Phoebe Munya, has organised the seminar to discuss Fistula and the many forms of cancer affecting women.
Meru county government recently stepped up efforts to fight the cancer pandemic that has affected a sizeable chunk of its residents including women.
The governor of Meru, Peter Munya, claims that his county is the worst hit in the country citing statistics which show that 15% of patients seeking radiotherapy treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) are from Meru county.
